IRCC invites Express Entry candidates in the first July draw. In this latest draw, IRCC issued 356 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system, specifically for candidates who were nominated through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
To receive an invitation in this draw, candidates needed to meet the following criteria:
- Have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 750
- Have created an Express Entry profile before 4:09 a.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on March 19, 2025
If you’re planning to apply through Express Entry, it’s crucial to understand how your profile stacks up. This draw shows that CRS scores for PNP candidates remain relatively high due to the additional points that come with a provincial nomination.

Recent Trends Shaping Express Entry
A clear trend has emerged since mid-May: Express Entry draws have generally alternated between PNP-focused draws and CEC draws. Only one category-based draw has taken place during this same period.
This pattern shows how IRCC is balancing invitations between newcomers already working in Canada under the Canadian Experience Class and candidates who have secured a provincial nomination.
Because of these regular draws, there has been a noticeable month-to-month decline in the number of candidate profiles in the CRS score ranges of 501–600 and 600+. This is the first time in at least six months that these ranges have seen a drop, likely due to consistent draws helping clear out high-scoring candidates from the pool.
IRCC’s approach shows its ongoing focus on efficiently selecting candidates who are ready to contribute to Canada’s workforce needs while ensuring that provinces have the skilled workers they need to grow their economies.
