IRCC conducts the first Express Entry draw of August, continuing the pattern of targeted invitations.
In this latest round, IRCC issued 225 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system. The draw was specifically for candidates in the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) stream.
To be eligible for this round, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 739 and must have created their Express Entry profile before 6:35 a.m. UTC on April 23, 2025.

This is the first Express Entry draw of August, and it follows a recent series of draws held in July, including a Healthcare and social services category-based draw on July 22, a PNP draw on July 21, and a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on July 8.
To date, IRCC has issued a total of 49,628 ITAs through the Express Entry system in 2025.
So far this year, Express Entry invitations have been primarily focused on PNP candidates. Other invitations have gone to applicants in the Canadian Experience Class, those with French-language proficiency, and individuals in priority occupations, such as healthcare and education.

Recently, IRCC has adopted a biweekly pattern of holding alternating PNP and CEC draws, a trend it has followed since June 10. Additionally, the Healthcare and social services category has seen consistent draws in each of the last three months, i.e., May, June, and July.
