Express Entry draw CRS score falls below 400, i.e., Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued another round of invitations through the Express Entry system.

In this latest draw, the department invited 4,000 candidates under the French-language proficiency category.

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed to meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 393; and
  • Created an Express Entry candidate profile before 12:47 p.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) on December 29, 2025.

This draw is the seventeenth Express Entry draw of 2026. It is also the third draw focused on candidates with French-language skills this year.

Even though there have been only three French-language draws, this category has already received 18,000 invitations in 2026. This makes it the second highest in total invitations, just behind the Canadian Experience Class category.

Recent Express Entry draws show that Canada continues to focus on candidates who are already in the country. This includes individuals with Canadian work experience and those who have received provincial nominations.
