IRCC issues ITAs in the latest Express Entry draw.

This time, the focus was on Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates, with 1,000 applicants receiving ITAs in the latest round of invitations.

To qualify for this draw, candidates needed to meet two key requirements:

  • A minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 534
  • An Express Entry profile created before 8:28 a.m. UTC on August 14, 2025

This shows that competition within the Express Entry pool remains steady, with CRS cut-offs for CEC candidates consistently falling in the 500+ range. It also highlights IRCC’s ongoing effort to prioritize individuals with Canadian work experience, as they are more likely to transition smoothly into the labor market.

Context Of This Month’s Draws

This was the second Express Entry draw in September. It followed a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw on September 2, which issued 249 ITAs, and came shortly after several category-based draws in August, including one for healthcare and social services candidates.

By continuing to invite CEC candidates, IRCC underscores the value of Canadian work experience in its immigration priorities.

Year-To-Date Invitations Issued

As IRCC issues ITAs in the latest Express Entry draw, it is vital to note that so far in 2025, IRCC has issued 57,069 ITAs through the Express Entry system.

The distribution of draws highlights IRCC’s diverse selection approach:

Draw Type Number Of Draws
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) 16
Canadian Experience Class (CEC) 9
French-language proficiency 4
Healthcare and social services 4
Education 1

With these ongoing draws, Canada continues to balance its immigration needs, thus addressing labor shortages, promoting bilingualism, and ensuring opportunities for those already contributing to the country through Canadian work experience.
