Manitoba invites skilled foreign workers in a PNP draw.
On June 12, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued over 36 Letters of Advice to Apply for provincial immigration through the Skilled Worker Overseas stream.
Of these 36 applicants, five letters were issued to applicants who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
The score of the lowest-ranked applicant in this draw was 613.
Applicants who submitted an EOI, i.e., Expression of Interest for this stream were only considered if they were invited directly by the MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.
About The Strategic Recruitment Initiative
Manitoba employers who need skilled workers can recruit foreign talent via strategic recruitment initiatives.
To take part, employers must meet specific eligibility criteria for the roles they are hiring. They must also complete the province’s ABC Recruitment Process.
Moreover, after obtaining approval, they can submit details of international applicants to Manitoba’s Employer Services.
Applicants need to meet certain eligibility criteria regarding work experience, age, education, and language proficiency, in addition to the criteria of the stream they are invited under.
Like most Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), Manitoba has seen its provincial nomination allocation halved in 2025. In addition, this year, the MPNP’s allocation for the year is 4,750 nomination slots.
In February, Newfoundland and Labrador succeeded in increasing its provincial allocation for the year through negotiations with the federal government.
