British Columbia issued at least 27 invitations to apply for provincial nomination across two selection rounds held between October 15 and 20, 2026.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program invited cleaners and security staff working for a public health authority in a rural or remote community. The province also invited entrepreneurs interested in starting a business or purchasing and expanding an existing one.

Successful candidates can apply for provincial nomination. Those who receive a nomination may then apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residence. Eligible applicants living in Canada may also qualify for a bridging open work permit after submitting their permanent residence application.
