Manitoba Invites Skilled Immigration Candidates

Manitoba invites skilled immigration candidates, i.e., on July 30, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) invited 766 candidates to apply for a provincial nomination through its latest Expression of Interest (EOI) draw.

Candidates who received a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) may now move forward with their application for a provincial nomination.

Latest Draw Details

The invitations issued in EOI Draw #276 were sent through the following MPNP streams and selection categories:

• Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway
  • Employment in a qualifying occupation (NOC code).
  • Employment in a manufacturing/utilities occupation.
  • Francophone selection.
• Skilled Worker Stream – in Manitoba and Overseas.
  • Direct invitation by MPNP under a strategic recruitment initiative.

This draw mainly focused on candidates who were already living and working in Manitoba.

Out of the 766 candidates invited in this draw, 94 had a valid Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.

Note: Under Canada’s National Occupation Classification (NOC) system, occupations are grouped into six TEER levels (0 to 5). These levels are based on the training, education, experience, and responsibilities required for each occupation.

Skilled Worker In Manitoba

The province issued 696 invitations through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway. Candidates qualified under one of the following three selection categories.

1) Employment In A Qualifying NOC Code

This selection targeted candidates already living and working in Manitoba who stated in their EOI profile that they were employed in one of the following occupations:

• Aerospace Engineers (21390).
• Air pilots, flight engineers & flying instructors (72600).
• Aircraft Assemblers and Aircraft Assembly Inspector (93200).
• Aircraft Instrument, Electrical and Avionics Mechanics, Technicians and Inspectors (22313).
• Aircraft Mechanics and Aircraft Inspectors (72404).
• Facility operation and maintenance managers (70012).
• General practitioners and family physicians (31102).

2) Employment In A Manufacturing/Utilities Occupation

Under this category, Manitoba invited the highest-ranking candidates who reported that they were currently working in the province in an occupation under Broad Occupational Category 9 of the National Occupation Classification.

This category includes middle management roles in manufacturing and utilities, along with supervisory, production, processing, and labour positions.

The following five Major Groups are included under Broad Occupational Category 9:

• Central control and process operators and aircraft assembly assemblers and inspectors (code 93).
• Labourers in processing, manufacturing and utilities (code 95).
• Machine operators, assemblers and inspectors in processing, manufacturing and printing (code 94).
• Middle management occupations in manufacturing and utilities (code 90).
• Processing, manufacturing & utilities supervisors and utilities operators and controllers (code 92).

Each Major Group includes several occupations that qualified for this selection.

3) Francophone Selection

Candidates invited under the Francophone selection category had to confirm the following in their Expression of Interest profile:

• Their language of communication with Manitoba was French; and
• They had valid French language test results.

Skilled Worker Stream

The province also selected candidates through the Skilled Worker Stream, which includes the following two pathways:

• Skilled Worker in Manitoba; and
• Skilled Worker Overseas.

To qualify under this selection, candidates needed to state in their EOI profile that they had received an invitation through a strategic recruitment initiative or through the former Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Candidates (TPP).

The invitations were distributed among the different strategic recruitment initiatives as follows:

Why Some Eligible Candidates Were Not Invited?

Manitoba explained that some candidates who appeared to meet the selection requirements may still not have received an invitation.

This could happen if:

• The identification number for an approved language test was missing or invalid, or the language test results had expired before the draw date; or
• The candidate claimed participation in a strategic recruitment initiative but did not include a valid invitation number in the profile.

Manitoba Continues To Hold Regular Draws

The latest draw reflects Manitoba’s continued effort to attract skilled workers who can meet the province’s labour market needs.

As of July 30, Manitoba had conducted 15 invitation rounds in 2026. Across these draws, the province has issued a total of 4,822 Letters of Advice to Apply, giving thousands of skilled workers an opportunity to apply for a provincial nomination and continue their immigration journey to Canada.
