Manitoba invited 53 skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination on August 13 through both pathways of its Skilled Worker Stream.
The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) focused on candidates who had received a direct invitation through a strategic recruitment initiative.
The latest draw brings Manitoba’s total number of provincial immigration draws in 2026 to 16.
Latest Draw Details
The MPNP issued invitations through both Skilled Worker pathways. These pathways cover skilled workers in Manitoba and skilled workers overseas.
To be considered in the draw, candidates had to state in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profile that they had received an invitation through a recruitment mission or the now-expired Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Candidates (TPP).
Candidates selected through the Employer Services initiative received the largest share of invitations, making up 28.3% of the total.
| Strategic Recruitment Initiative | LAAs Issued |
| Employer Services | 15 |
| Francophone Community | 13 |
| Ethnocultural Communities | 12 |
| Regional Communities | 9 |
| Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP) | 4 |
Six of the 53 invitations went to candidates who had a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
As of August 13, Manitoba had issued 4,875 invitations to apply for provincial nomination through its Skilled Worker Stream.
Why Some Candidates May Not Receive An Invitation?
Some candidates who appeared to meet the draw requirements may not have received an invitation.
The province listed the following reasons:
- The candidate indicated an approved English or French language test in their EOI profile, but provided a missing or invalid test identification number, or their results had expired; or
- The candidate declared that they had been invited through a strategic recruitment initiative, but did not provide a valid invitation number.
These details show the importance of keeping information in the EOI profile accurate and up to date.
