Three Canadian provinces have nominated applicants under the latest PNP draws this week.

Provincial governments nominate applicants that are most likely to easily integrate into the provincial/ regional labor force & be able to establish themselves in the province economically.

In addition, most provinces & territories, except Quebec & Nunavut, held the latest PNP draws that target applicants with particular professions, like healthcare, skilled trades, tech, etc. This allows provinces to target applicants who can quickly fill acute labor shortages.

Similarly, the federal government, via IRCC, will soon begin holding Express Entry draws in the upcoming category-based selection draws for French language abilities & particular professions.

If the PNP applicants are in the Express Entry pool & get a provincial nomination, they automatically obtain an extra 600 points in CRS. As a result, this increases the chances of applicants getting an ITA, i.e., an Invitation To Apply.

Economic immigration applicants who are not in the Express Entry program can still apply for provincial nomination. This will strengthen their overall PR application.

It is vital to note that getting nominated differs from obtaining permanent resident status. An applicant with a provincial nomination must still apply separately to IRCC. This is because immigration is a shared responsibility between federal as well as provincial governments.

Latest PNP Draws Result: June 17-22

Here is the Provincial Nominee Program draw results for different provinces. Take a look!

  • Ontario

Ontario invited 1,000 applicants in three draws that took place on June 20 under the Employer Job Offer stream of OINP, i.e., the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.

The first draw was for applicants having job offers in the Foreign Worker Stream. Moreover, Ontario invited almost 426 candidates having scores of 36 & above who have full-time work experience in the skilled trades profession.

Finally, the last draw invited over 256 applicants in a general draw via the In-Demand Skills stream. Applicants needed a minimum score of 26 in this draw.

  • British Columbia

Four draws took place in British Columbia in the International Graduate & Skilled Worker streams of BC PNP. Moreover, in all, more than 144 applicants were invited.

The most significant draw targeted over 107 applicants having tech professions. The minimum cut-off score under the SIRS was 90. SIRS is similar to an Express Entry CRS score but only applies to PNP applicants in British Columbia.

The remaining three draws targeted almost ten applicants in healthcare professions, 18 early childhood educators & assistants, & less than 5 in other priority professions. Applicants in each draw require a minimum score of 60.

  • New Brunswick

New Brunswick has published its monthly results for provincial/ regional Express Entry Draws.

In addition, for the latest PNP draws, the province asserts that throughout May, it invited a total of 93 applicants in three streams. These streams are:

  • Employment Connection – 21
  • Occupations In-Demand Connection – 62
  • Student Connection – 10

To date, the province has nominated over 509 provincial Express Entry applicants this year. March was the business month, wherein over 186 applicants were invited. Well, this might have been because March was also the busiest month for Express Entry draws, wherein 21,667 applicants were invited throughout Canada
